The West Bengal Veterinary Alumni Association (WBVAA) was formed in 1979 by a group of veterinarians committed to improving their profession and supporting society. Since then, it has worked to help veterinarians, assist farmers, and uplift underprivileged communities.

WBVAA organizes meetings, scientific seminars, cultural programs, blood donation camps, and health camps. It provides scholarships for financially weaker veterinary students, offers job training and career guidance, and educates farmers. The association also runs animal birth control programs and provides relief during floods and droughts.

Over the years, WBVAA has grown into a key organization promoting veterinary science and supporting small farmers. It remains dedicated to service, unity, and professional growth for the benefit of society.
